Women's Wellness Weekend
Grab the girls and come to YMCA Trout Lodge for that well-deserved post-holiday rejuvenation for your spirit, mind, and body! Women's Wellness Weekend (February 23-25) is a weekend of dozens of instructional and educating classes, fun group activities, meals, and even vendors for shopping. Rates include lodging, meals, and many of the activities that YOU get to choose from. Some activities will have additional fees.
2024 Southern Illinois Fruit and Vegetable School
Commercial fruit and vegetable growers face a lot of uncertainties. One thing is certain: University of Illinois Extension has the practical, current research to help you make those important production decisions. The 2024 Southern Illinois Fruit and Vegetable School brings informative, practical, and up-to-date research-based information to address the challenges of growing fruit and vegetables commercially in Southern Illinois and Missouri. Industry experts will share current trends in insect and disease management, as well as a variety of other production-related topics. Onsite vendors will be available to discuss production needs.

Registration Details
$35 per person for advanced registration on or before February 1.
$50 per person for late and at-door registration after February 1.
African Violets | Big & Small Gardening with Lee County Master Gardeners
February 6- African Violets | Learn the care and propagation techniques for African violets.
Wouldn't it be terrific for all ages to learn more about gardening? The Lee County Master Gardeners are starting their gardening series called " Big and Small Gardening." This series will be held at the Winfred Knox Library in Franklin Grove the first Tuesday of each month with alternating months offering a youth program at 4 PM or an Adult program at 6 PM. One may register for these programs by calling the library at 815-456-2823.
Herb Gardens
Whether you're an expert gardener or just starting out, this program is will help you learn about growing herbs.
Participants will learn how to select, plant, and maintain herb gardens so that they add beauty to the home landscape, while offering added culinary, and other uses.
Master Gradener Hybrid Training
Take your love of gardening to the next level. Master Gardner Hybrid Training offers a plethora of knowledge, hands on training and online classes. From botany to soils, we provide you with expert scientific knowledge to further your interests and give you the tools to be a successful gardener.
Hands on portion of the class will take place in either Galesburg or Macomb. Please choose your location when registering.

2024 Southwestern Illinois Commercial Tree Fruit School
Support the success of your tree fruit operation with practical research-tested best practices from industry experts at the 2024 Commercial Tree Fruit School. This year’s program features a wide range of topics to help growers meet the challenges of commercial fruit production in Southwestern Illinois, including apple and peach insect and disease management updates, climate's impact on production, biorational insecticides and fungicides, and tick awareness and surveillance tools. Industry representatives will also be on hand to talk about their latest products and services.
